Another point is the mounting dimensions. This is a B10 flange measuring 115mm, which is important for the mounting part.

With these two points in mind, we were able to quickly match alternative solutions. We used a 78mm Profibus-dp protocol encoder with a piece of B10 flange and it worked perfectly. We produced a B10 flange of the same size on our machining center and mounted it to the front of the 78mm encoder. In this way, a single encoder is formed.

In practice, this alternative version of the encoder has no technical challenges and parallel replacement. The only point to note is that it requires an installation technician who will replace the GSD file. This is, of course, the minimum requirement for the technician.
