CEV65M-01360, an absolute encoder with SSI communication protocol.

This is a 65mm OD absolute encoder with SSI communication protocol.

In July, commissioned by a metallurgical company to develop a replacement program for this product. CEV65M-01360, this encoder is relatively simple, is pure SSI communication protocol. This is the conventional encoder communication protocol, do it is also more comfortable.

A brief overview of the whole process:

First of all, the flange is processed according to the size of the original product. For this part, we produce a piece of 64.8mm flange by machining center. This is a more important part to correspond to the mounting dimensions.

Another thing is the size of the shaft diameter. This is a 10mm shaft diameter, which we also machined together as a spare. The difference is that we used a 58mm aluminum housing instead of a 65mm housing. This part is a little different, but it does not affect the use and is not part of the installation size.

Then there's the way the wires come out, which is a 12pin connector.

With everything ready to go, we started the assembly. Just use a 58 series SSI encoder circuit assembly to match the installation. Thus, the mechanical hardware was all adapted.

Finally, it was installed and tested by a technician. A perfect alternative solution product is out.

Overall, this encoder alternative is relatively easy to realize. In fact, there are many encoders on the market that meet this parameter. The main thing is that the corresponding mounting dimensions are relatively small, just a flange problem, as long as the solution we replaced.
