CEV65S-10056: An alternative to SSI protocol absolute encoders

This is the model number that a customer inquired about, it's TR'sSSI EncodersProduct. The customer is looking for an alternative to this model.

Let's start with this model number: CEV65S-10056. through the manual we can see that this is an absolute encoder with SSI protocol, which is relatively simple. The number of turns is 1440 and the voltage is 10-30V.

Although, this is a 65 series encoder product with a 65mm flange. In fact, it is basically the same as the 58 series encoder. The shaft size of this encoder is 10mm, only the flange is 7mm larger, all other dimensions remain the same.

There are two alternative solutions we give, one is to customize the 65mm flange exactly to the original size and the other is to just use the 58mm flange. Choose according to your own application. The circuit part we can design ourselves, as long as the parameters are the same.

The other thing is the plug part. This is the M23-12pin plug, which we wired according to the original wiring definition so that it can be used directly for the application.

So, the alternative to this product is a little bit easier to do. It basically matches our own existing product, with just a few changes to the flanges and wiring definitions.
