A few days ago, a customer wanted to make two expedited replacements, as follows: PVM58I-032AGR0BN-1213 and PVM58I-032AGR0BN-1416.Absolute Encoder, or stainless steel housing. The customer is in such a hurry I guess it's not a good purchase.
Let's first look at these two products, belong to the same product family, only the resolution is not the same. According to our point of view these two products are considered to be standard products, profibus-dp communication, outer diameter 58mm, shaft diameter 6mm. these parameters basically constitute the complete encoder.
We give an alternative solution with 1:1 parameters. The focal point of this product is that the housing is made of stainless steel, as most of these products have aluminum housings. So, it looks like there are not many products that can be substituted.
Introduction to Customized Alternatives
The difference between these two encoders is that the resolution is not the same, the former is 1213 resolution, the latter is 1416 resolution. All other parameters are the same.
We are realizing alternative customization in accordance with a solution that is consistent with the mounting dimensions and application parameters. We have a complete mechanical program and electrical program, basically considered our standard encoder products. Only in the shell of aluminum alloy and stainless steel, stainless steel shell is considered non-standard customization, this demand is generally not much.

One issue to be aware of with the application of these two alternatives is the import of GSD files. For new customers, we go to great lengths to state this every time. Because the product itself is a profibus-dp communication, it is required that the technician knows how to use GSD files. This is a necessary condition and must be noted. If it is just an installer who does not know how to use the PLC do not purchase it.
Delivery times for this type of alternative are generally very quick, after all it is considered a standard product with us. The only caveat is that we may need a little bit of time to produce the stainless steel housing, that's all.
